Third Monday Program at 'ICC,Cupertino,CA- Friends On Same Wave Length.

                                                                              The session was chaired by Dr Krishna Gutala and a Guest Speaker was Swami Chidanandji, who is founder of 'FOWAI- Flame of who am I', IIT Engineer,Writer, Thinker and Spiritual Guide.
                                                                         
                                                                         
                                                                             Nandini presented the prayer at the beginning of the meeting. M L Swamy gave welcome address wherein he  informed regarding the activities of the various FOSWL(India) units. He also briefed regarding the coming up FOSWL (India) units at Mumbai and Pune.
                                                                             Thereafter Dr Krishna Gutala gave opening remarks regarding the subject of the day. Parthasarathy gave the introduction of Swami Chidanandji and his contribution in the  Spiritual fields.
                                                                           
                                                                           
                                                                              Swami Chidanandji  presented PowerPoint presentation on 'The Emotional Intelligence- Perspectives from Bhagawad Geeta'. Swamiji pointed out that emotions always play important role in life and it has close relationship with happiness and unhappiness.  He further added that Arjun was emotionally broken and confused in the battlefield of Kurukshtra . However Krishna boost up his spirit by telling that' I am always there in meaningful action i.e. In karma'. He removed the all doubts created in the mind of Arjun and ultimately he was ready to do as guided by him.
                                                                           
                                                                               Therefore he emphasized that' It is  necessary to sense and understand emotions and its power should be applied effectively'.  Sometime it also helps to live better life.  Geeta also preaches 'How to curb bad emotions as they are excessively aggressive and possessive.  The EQ  always measures intelligent emotions. The low EQ  adversely affect the career. Besides that it does not turn proficiency into efficiency i.e. Having skill but fail to transform it in the life. The Emotional self awareness, Assertiveness,The lack of stress tolerance, Fail to recognize the good in others are the factors which brings Frustration,and Depression. However Geeta  suggest the spiritual approach for the reducing the stress and depression.
                                                                         
                                                                                Swamiji further emphasized on the five things for self awareness which  brings stress tolerance i.e.The  activation of life, The belief beyond the life wise fulfillment, To think  about consequences of actions, Try to diffuse the Anger/Frustration and other possibilities, and to end  the undesirable Emotions.  Swamiji concluded that Geeta also stress  on controlling the attachments,Stand for your Right, To do work without hesitation or agitation, Try to understand the others point of view and to keep Sympathy and Karuna for others. One can definitely control his/her  low emotions with the path shown as above.  One can balance one self in success and failures with the help of positive path shown by Geeta. The Geeta ultimately lead us to positive and high emotions which brings happiness in life.
