M Santhnam presented the thought of the day from wherein he said'  whatever  happened is for good, whatever happening is also for good and whatever going happen  in future will be for good'. He further added that body is perishable but soul is immortal.
                            Thereafter Sunila Fondekar presented the latest on India wherein she referred about the latest position regarding Assembly election in the Karnataka State. She also briefed regarding Tragic death of Suberjit Singh, China's intrusion in Indian territory of Ladak,  Regarding  corruption in Indian Railway,and also regarding several recent  cases of rapes. She also informed regarding success story of Kashmiri woman against all odds. She further added that now even poor and backward boys and girls are also coming up through UPSC exams. She also informed regarding the celebration of 100 years of Indian cinema. She concluded with the reports of cricket and 'IPL'games.
                             B K Rao talked about the latest on international events. He mentioned regarding the  Air strike of Israel on middle east and its implications. He also informed about the contributions made by Margret Thatcher in the political field of UK. He  praised the leadership of  Hugo Chavez the former president of Venezuela who died very recently due to cancer.  He narrated story about Ruth Jabwala and her contribution in the the various countries which she visited i.e. Germany  India , UK and USA. He informed that Europe economy is further declining i.e. Countries like Cypress, Slovenia, Italy and  Spain are going through bad economic time. He also informed that Al Kaida is now expanding under different heads in different countries. He concluded that China is on offensive with Japan, India, and regarding South China Sea.
                                     Dinesh Bajaj gave presentation on America wherein he mentioned about the present hot issues of Gun Control, Immigration etc. He also discussed regarding the latest Bomb Blast and shooting at Boston.  he threw some light on the involvement of the church priest in the Sex scandals. He further pointed out that  Indian American like Vivek Randee has been investing in purchasing the franchise  of  Base Ball Team. He further informed that  USA may be self reliant regarding energy in near future. He  advised Seniors to see some of the good movies like 'The Company You Keep', 'Oblivion ' etc. He said that Indian movies have also helped to solve the issues of national integration,  including Family and Social issues.
                                      Jayshri Sharma also talk about local political issues relating to Indian American Community.
                                    Thereafter Sahru Rangnekar, a Management Consultant  gave talk on 'The Evolution of Family' wherein he stated that present generation does not look with respect towards Grandpa and Old Civilization. He quoted Confucius regarding family relationship wherein he had  described the relationships between father and son, husband and wife and between the elder brother and younger brother. However he also predicted that they will collapse for wants of equality and friendly relationship. Besides that economical conditions may be compelling people to stay in family. However big changes are required and it is inevitable.  The father and son relationship was mainly based on passing of the of asset but changes in succession law has now changed whole aspect. The equal right to son and daughter in father's properties have also created crack in the brother/ sister relationship.  Therefore family system also requires suitable changes.
 He added that there will be always resistance against changes  as it is said that people do not want to come out of comfort zone. There was  opposition against computer system but now people talk about how to improve it further.However he concluded that friendly relationship should start at suitable age  among family members in order bring changes in family system. It may be unpleasant matter and disliked by some people but it is inevitable.
                                          The question answer session was also very interesting and large number of seniors participated in the same.
