Nagmani Chalam From Hyderabad offered prayer at the beginning of the program. Thereafter M L Swamy, secretary FOSWL welcome the guest. B K Rao IAS(Retd) Chairperson moviesgave opening remarks wherein he mentioned about Dr Sid Gautam and his expertise on the subject. Dr Akur Srinivasan briefly gave the introduction of  Dr Sid Gautam, Director, The center of entrepreneurship.
                                             Dr Sid Gautam Guest Speaker gave talk on’ The success and Happiness’. He said success comes to those who thinks unthinkable,  Try to reach unreachable and those who dream impossible. Besides that  some time failure is the key of success. He further added that one must be passionate for the goal. However success should not go in the head which disturb the balance of mind. In short successful person has to cultivate  humble attitude.
                                           He informed that Success and happiness depends upon five factors i.e. abcde
1) Action/Activity/Adoptability
One is active and adopt to the circumstances and situation then there will be less cause of unhappiness
2) Bold/Beauty/Benefit /Benefactor
One has to face the life boldly  and whatever one achieve must be shared with others. One can get more happiness by giving  others
3)Qurious/Charge and Competitive
One must be charged with energy to face the competitive world. The achievements  by competition will give more satisfaction
4)Decisive/Desperate and Divinity
One must always take decision  at right time
5)Efficient/Energetic and Enlightenment
The happiness is also correlated with efficiency, energy and enlightenment.
All above factors can bring success with happiness
                                                    He concluded that success and happiness also depends on your concentration for goal ie.’ Eat while you Eat, Drink while you Drink and Sleep while you Sleep’
                                    Thereafter B K Rao gave concluding remarks wherein he complimented Dr Sid Gautam for giving inspiring speech to the seniors who comes from various walks of life.
                                     Saroj Alsingar gave vote of Thanks. Tyagrajan and Mrs Lalita Tyagrajan were felicitated on their Birthday

The Program at ICC, Cupertino, as on 14th May 2012

Dinesh Bajaj introduced  Dr William  Masuda, Buddhist Church,Palo Alto, a Guest speaker of the  program.
Dr Masuda of Japanese origin Spoke on’ Buddhism’ and particularly on ‘Mahayan’ path. He informed that Buddhism had come from India to Japan through Tibet, China,Korea. He also gave immigrant history of the Japanese people in USA. They came as labourers for’ Union Pacific Railroad’.
He informed that Japanese are observing ‘Mahayan’ path of Buddhism which treats all equal regardless of class and occupation. He also briefed regarding some of the principles of Buddhism as follows.
-They have faith in Buddha and reciting his name sustain the  life.
-The respect for ancestors reflects in the teaches Buddha
- It  teaches Tolerance and Acceptance of All.
-It also teaches to give up Ego and Blind Attachments.
- Buddha always dealt with the needs of the people and do not stick to his own point of views
- It seek Enlightenment and Peace through Spiritual Spirit.
              He concluded that ‘Hinyan’ is another path of  Buddhism wherein lots of intellectuals have contributed while ‘Mahayan’ shows deep faith in the Spirit of  Buddha.
                  Dinesh Bajaj  proposed vote of thanks.
                                The another One Hour Session was on Drama wherein some of the  Seniors took active part. The session was handled by Rekha who is Dramatist.

(Mother Day Celebrations which falls on 13th May 2012)

Sita Doraiswami offered prayer in the beginning and thereafter Kamala Krishnamurty presented ‘Omkara’.
                              Shankuntala Bahadur welcome the members for celebrating the ‘Mother Day’.\
                              -Aswini Talwalkar presented the two stories presented on serial ‘Stayamev Jayate’ by Amrikhan welkown Bollywood Star. She described therein how women are empowered to protect their right.
                             - Zebaji briefed regarding mother that How they drink poison  comes out of life and always give Amrut in form of love to her children.
                             - Kamala Krishnamurthy presented Tamil song on mother.
                             - Premlata Majmundar stated that mother is always represented in the form of’ Maa’ Durga, Amba and Kalikaa in Hindu religion. She also praised the relationship of Krishna and Yashoda as Mother and Son.
                             -Indu Chhabra presented the the famous Hindi film song’ Teri Shuratse Bhagwaanki Shurat Kyaa Hogi’. She also presented few jokes.
                             - Suhashini presented very melodious songs on mother.
                             - Vijaya Bhardwaj also presented one punjabi songs related to mother.
                             - Sudha Pendse paid tribute to mothers.
                             - Amrita Verma gave historical background of ‘Mother Day’ in America.
                             -Shifaliji sang one Marathi Song paying tribute to mother.
                             - Meera Ramchandran Sang one Tamil song relating to mother.
Krisna Butala sang Tamil song describing the love of Mother. Hari verma recited one poem from Maithilicharan Gupta regarding mother. Bharat Desai described How he learned from his mother to become better person in the world. It also helped him to be  useful for the needy one.
The Kawali written by Shakuntala Bahadur paying tribute to mother was sang by Seniors at the end. The some of the seniors danced on the same. The portrait of Mother Teresa was exhibited on the stage representing the Mothers of the World. It  is sketched by Mukund Talwalkar One of the Seniors.
                   The program ended with vote of thanks by Shakuntala Bahadur.

Chujjukaa Chaubara as on 05/02/2012 at ICC, Cupertino

The program was started with prayer offered by Kamala krishnamurthy  and Omkara by A Narayanaswami. A Narayanaswami described the Giant clock sounding Omkara at Maheshwar Temple at Omkar Hill, Banglore.
                                                Thereafter several speakers gave presentations on ‘The most admired personality’ by them. Rajalaxmi gave her talk on Sarojini Naidu, Freedom fighter, and known as Nightingale of india. She described the various incidents of Sarojini Naidu during freedom struggle of India. R B Singh also added few things regarding Sarojini Naidu.
                                                Zebaji gave a talk on Indira Gandhi and her achievements being a woman in a man dominated society.
                                                Shakuntala Bahadur admired Induji one of the senior who has lost her eyes. She described how she manages her self to go out alone and even look after her ill health huband. She also entertains seniors with songs and very humorous jokes.
                                               Krishnamurty also gave briefing on the some of the incidents of Mahabharat and Ramayana.
                                                Dr Mahipal Ghemawat gave presentation on the Health Care of Seniors wherein he gave importance to Socialization, Good Sleep and on Nutritional factors.
                                                Manilal Jagtap also recited one poem and Akur Srinivasan gave talk on the president Truman and his life.
                                               Bharat Desai gave a talk on Sardar Patel and his qualities. He briefly described how Sardar integrated the more than 500 hundred Indian Native States into Indian Union.
                                               Dr B M Mathur presented slides on the chronic disease related to Seniors.
                                               Thereafter Sudha Pendse gave talk on the various slogans mentioned on the back of  the trucks. She added that some of the slogans are having Poetic message with helpful meanings. Rajkumari Chhabra sang very melodious devotional song.
