The Program at ICC, Cupertino, as on 14th May 2012

Dinesh Bajaj introduced Dr William Masuda, Buddhist Church,Palo Alto, a Guest speaker of the program.
Dr Masuda of Japanese origin Spoke on’ Buddhism’ and particularly on ‘Mahayan’ path. He informed that Buddhism had come from India to Japan through Tibet, China,Korea. He also gave immigrant history of the Japanese people in USA. They came as labourers for’ Union Pacific Railroad’.
He informed that Japanese are observing ‘Mahayan’ path of Buddhism which treats all equal regardless of class and occupation. He also briefed regarding some of the principles of Buddhism as follows.
-They have faith in Buddha and reciting his name sustain the life.
-The respect for ancestors reflects in the teaches Buddha
- It teaches Tolerance and Acceptance of All.
-It also teaches to give up Ego and Blind Attachments.
- Buddha always dealt with the needs of the people and do not stick to his own point of views
- It seek Enlightenment and Peace through Spiritual Spirit.
He concluded that ‘Hinyan’ is another path of Buddhism wherein lots of intellectuals have contributed while ‘Mahayan’ shows deep faith in the Spirit of Buddha.

The another One Hour Session was on Drama wherein some of the Seniors took active part. The session was handled by Rekha who is Dramatist.
