The Guest speaker of the Day was Dr Ajoy Ghatak former professor of  physics, Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Suresh Sheshan, Former  professor of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
                                               Mishra offered prayer  at the beginning of session,while M L Swamy, Secretary gave brief history and activities of the various units of ‘FOSWL’. Thereafter Nagamani Chhilam introduced the Guest Speaker.
                                               Suresh Sheshan, Chairperson gave his opening remarks wherein he mentioned the few incidents from the life of Albert Einstein.
                                               Dr A Ghatak thereafter presented his talk on . ‘Albert Einstein: A Glimpse  on his life and his years of Miracles.’   Dr Ghatak in begining presented the brief history regarding the life of Albert Einstein. He said that Einstein was against the regimental educational  system of Germany then. Besides that Einstein was not good at communication. He added that it may be a reason for his poor performance at school. However he had proved himself as a genius in his future career due to his great contributions in the physical science. He had presented his five scientific papers which also includes his theory of Relativity. He was Named as a “Man of Century” by’ Time Magazine’ in the year 1999 and was awarded Nobel Prize in the year 1921.
                                            Besides the’ Theory of Relativity’ he also pronounced that ‘ Velocity of Light is Independent of Time’ and’ No Signal can be greater than the Velocity of Light’.  His researches were very much contributed in the Atomic Science which ended in producing Atom Bomb.  He also recommended President Roosevelt for production of Atom Bomb. However he repented for the said recommendation.
                                              There was Question Answer Session  which was received very well. The session ended with the vote of Thanks.

(Father's Day Program)

The program was started with the opening remarks of Dinesh Bajaj wherein he mentioned about the importance of Father Day. Thereafter Omkar was presented by Krishna Gutala.
                                  Dipmple and Jignesh presented few songs and afterwards very interesting quiz program was presented wherein all questions where related to Father and Son, Father and Daughter, Husband and Wife etc. It was received well
                                 Dinesh Bajaj, Mani Iyer, Thadani, Krishna Gutala, and Bharat Desai presented Poem  regarding Father, the Filmy song,  Old Siagal Song, Classic Song and Devotional Song recepectivly.

                                 Amrita Verma,Dinesh Bajaj, Ghemawat and Bharat Desai  also presented brief talk on father's role in the life of son.
                                Satish Gadadkar presented the two of his students who presented instrumental Music.
                                 B V Jagdeesh, his Mother and Son (i.e. Three generations) presented the songs at the end which were also received well.
                                 The program was conducted by Dinesh Bajaj.

SECOND MONDAY PROGRAM AS ON 06/11/2012 AT ICC,CUPERTINO

The Guest speaker of the program was B V Jagadeesh, philanthropist, Technocrat, Venture Capitalist and founder of several Companies. His presentation was on "The Journey of Entrepreneur: Can India innovate to built the next big product company in the world" The meeting was presided over by Rama Swamy
                              B V Jagadeesh gave his historical struggle from native village in Karnataka State, India  to his success in High Tech in  Silicon Valley. He also worked with several reputable companies like Novel, Bridge Communication and 3com. He also founded the high tech companies, Exodus, Netscaler and Investment Venture ‘Kaaj’.
                            He said India can make it when you can see even beggars are using cell phone to improve their cash generation. Besides that Indians have Vision to progress. The Globalization also helped India to go ahead. We had severe Water and Electricity problems before Liberalization i.e. In the 1991. However we have been able to solve such problems considerably. We have improve our Education system and getting 350000 Engineers per year against 60000 of USA. We have got Talent pool including entrepreneurs pool even. Besides that India's saving is 23%of GDP. India is doing well in IT, Telecom, Auto, and Dairy Industries.India’s progress is also good in respect of Research and Developments Area. India GDP growth is  good and it is the fourth largest economy in context of its purchasing power parity. Besides that India’s 50% population is  young i.e. Less than 25 years. That is a great Assets for the country.
                                               He also added that now West has started Imitating India in the fields of Yoga, Art of Living, and including in Bollywood Music, Dance, and Culture.
                                               However he concluded that much is required to be done in India for following spheres
- Creating spirit for respecting Law.
- Improvement in  Education System. 
-Eradication of Corruption. 
-Further improvement of infrastructure.
- Planning and Execution thereon. 
Besides that all Indian must  develop feeling of pride for the Country.
                                The Question Answer Session was well participated.                                          Thereafter Prema Santhanam  proposed vote of Thanks.

CHHAJJUKA CHAUBARA AS ON 23RD MAY 2012

The program was started with prayer offered by Sita Doraiswamy and ‘Omkara by M Santhnam. .Thereafter jayshree gave presentation regarding some of the  welfare available  for seniors.
                                        A Narayanaswami gave talk on ‘ What is there in name’ wherein  he mentioned regarding short and long names. He also gave details regarding name connected with deities, cities, villages, families, flowers, birds ragas etc . He also explained how long name like Bala Subramonin is shortened like Bala and Minaxi to Minu. It was very informative talk.
                                       Meera Ramchandran presented devotional song of meerabai and Shakuntala Bahadur  recited  poem on senior’s positive approach towards health  with all ageing problems.  
                                          Thereafter Krishna Butala gave talk on American history,constitution, and election process.  Mrs Gogte gave classical song of  movie ‘Gunj Uthi Shanai’
                                         Mrs Amrit Verma gave talk on ‘The last fifteen minutes of Usma Bin Laden ‘s Life.’ Bharat Desai gave talk on the effect  of youth and ageing on the ‘Economy  and Developments of Various Countries’
                                        Thereafter Anuradha Jagadeeshan and  A G Karanakaran, Director, ICC gave some ideas regarding ‘Sevathan Walk ‘which going to be held on  15th July 2012  for raising funds for philanthropic  organizations of Bay Area. They appeal all seniors to take active part therein.
