The most active Indian American Community Center of Northern California celebrated its 10 Th anniversary on 17 Th March 2013 at Malavalli Hall,Milpitas, California between 11 Am to 3 Pm. The Thousands of American Indians of Silicon Valley participated in the grand celebrations. The celebration was inaugurated by 'ICC' Chairman Kumar Malavalli. The Malavalli Hall was jam packed with Indian American community including children youth and seniors. The Chief invitees Guest were Mike Honda, Congressman, Jose Esteves, Mayor of Milpitas, and Ash Kalra, Council member of City of San Jose. The program started with the inauguration speech by Kumar Malavalli wherein he described the service oriented 10 years journey of India Community Center.
The Senior ladies group under the leadership of Shakuntala Bahadur from 'ICC', Cupertino, Center presented Musical presentation describing "How 'ICC' has enriched their lives". Thereafter Senior group of 'ICC' Milpitas presented the Dance. One short humorous script was also presented by Seniors of 'ICC' Milpitas. All those programs were received very well.
Afterwards India Community Center, 'Karaoke Group presented very melodious movie songs and dance. The children group of 'ICC also presented the songs including the patriotic songs. The Past Youth Seva Team also presented songs and folk dances. The two items of'' Bombay Jam, Zumba, Belly Dancing and Body Pump 'were received very well by the audience.
The Congressman Mike Honda, Mayor of Milpitas, Jose, Esteves Council member Ash Kalra also addressed the gathering and praised the services of India Community Center. They also presented the Citations accordingly.
Thereafter Current and Past 'ICC' Board Members, 'ICC' Alumni Staff,
'ICC' Media Partners, 'ICC' Volunteers were recognized.
Afterwards Table Tennis demonstrative matches were also took place wherein National Players also took part. The Tournaments were conducted for all ages. It was a grand show for sport loving people.
Besides that special craft activities for children with Indian theme were held in the Lotus Room of 'ICC', Milpitas. The Songs, Puzzles, Book reading, and Craft activities were also arranged at the'ICC' Preschool premises It was full of fun and entertainment for all sections of Indian American Community along with Free Raffle Prizes. It was a grand and well managed Celebrations.
