                                                                Dr M K Rao introduced the speaker Dr Vivek Shanbhag, Ayruvedic Practitioner and Professor, Founder and Director of Natural Medicine Clinic, Academy and Spa.
                                                              Dr Vivek Shanbhag gave talk on ' The preventing of Heart disease with Ayurveda and Yoga'.  He informed that lots of research is going on regarding Heart disease and it is observed  that victims are mostly from South Asian Community. The Heart disease has spreaded like epidemic among them.  He further stated that  Heart decease has increased in spite of that Asian are mostly Vegetarian , and they do not Smoke too much. The Heart Attack mostly takes place because of Diabetes, High Cholesterol Ratio, and Less Activities.  He gave reference of well known American Cardiologist of Bay Area Dr Dean Cornish  who is very much influenced by Swami Satchidanand philosophy of Ayurvedic Measures. He suggested that Heart decease can be controlled  by Eating Vegetarian Food, Moderate Exercise, and Stress Management through Yoga/ Meditation.
                                                                Besides that he further briefed that Obesity, High cholesterol, High Blood Pressure also increased the Heart problems. He added that nature of person also increase Heart disease i.e.Rajas/and Tamas type of Natures. However Satva Nature prevent the problem. He gave few tips like the Surya Namaskar in the Morning, and Few Minutes Evening walk are always Good. One must have sufficient sleep for about 71/2 hours. The Light Meal by 7 PM in the evening is advisable. It is better to avoid, Sugar Fat, Coffee, Deep Fried Food and Soda. He gave the list of Herbal things which are good for Health.(i.e. The list is given in the photo above).
                                Vasanti Bhatt conducted Yoga after 12 noon for one hour.
