THIRD MONDAY PROGRAM AS ON 15 TH OCTOBER 2012

The program was started with the opening remark  by T P Subramonian wherein he mentioned about his pleasant experiences with his Jews friends at Mumbai.
                                      Dinesh Bajaj introduced the  Guest speaker Rabbi Melanie, Serving Congregation Shir Hadash, Los Gatos, a Board Member , Leadership Forum, Silicon valley  He further added that she is actively associated with reformist movement in Judism in America.
                                       Thereafter Rabbi Malanie presented her talk on Judism. She informed that Judith Bible 'Torah' deals with the basic principles of Judism. Nova gives seven basic directions which includes not to kill, not to robe, be just to others etc. She added that  there are 730  testaments giving directions to the Jewish followers. Jews also believes in meditation by chanting and fasting. She said Jews were never aggressive  in respect of conversion. However they suffered due to discrimination and circumstances also made them to achieve expertise in many fields including in the field of finance.
                                          She also held workshop in Jewish  history with the participation of Seniors.
Several seniors took part therein actively. The question answer session  was very interesting. She believes that conflict among religions  are more political than religious.

 The second session  was started in afternoon and the Guest Speaker was Dwarko Sundrani, a Gandhian, a follower of Vinobaji, and Social Reformer.
                                         Dwarkoji was introduced by Subhash Deshpande a Writer, and Sarvodaya worker. He informed that Dwarkoji was a freedom fighter and gave up his revolutionary outlook as he was impressed with Gandhian philosophy.
                                         Thereafter Dwarkoji spoke on ' the Chitta  Nirman' wherein he said that though we have cultural developments but without any inner development. Therefore we talk much without practicing it.  He said that main cause of all problems is our education system which does not teach the art of living. Gandhi wanted to go for Basic Education system which create Good Society with Super Consciousness. He said science and spiritualism should coordinate in order to search External and Inner truth. Gandhi was always in the search of truth and  he also believed that truth is also God. He added that Veda always prayed for whole world and Gandhi also worked for the whole world. He concluded that Vinobaji was praying God while for Gandhi people were God.
                                      There was very interesting question answer session which went on well.
