S Krishnamurthy was presiding over the meeting and Acharya Brahamachari  Prabodh Chaitanya  Resident Head of Chinmaya Mission, San Jose was Guest Speaker of the day. The program started with prayer offered by Rangamani Swamy. Kamala Krishnamurthy and Sita Dorairaj also Sang devotional songs thereafter.
                                      M L Swamy, Secretary of FOSWL gave welcome address wherein he mentioned the activities  of all units including 'FOSWL-India . A Narayanaswami gave introduction of the Guest Speaker . S  Krishnamurthy Chair person gave his  opening remark.

                                      Thereafter Acharya Prabodh Chaitanya started his talk on 'Ramayana'. He stated that' Ramayana' is a backbone of Hindu religion. He added that Diwali is a homecoming of Rama after defeating Ravan. Vedas described 'Purna Purshottam' which is drawn  in 'Ramayana'.  He further informed that there are different types of 'Ramayana' i.e, 'Vaidic Ramayana' Vedam Vyas Ramayana, Valmiki 'Ramayana' and Tulsidas 'Ramayana'.  Besides that each 'Ramayana' emphasis on different aspects. The Vedam Vyas 'Ramayana 'emphasis on Truth and Tulsidas 'Ramayana' gives more stress on devotion.
                                     ' Ramayana' also reflects Ideal person, Ideal relationship between Husband and Wife, including Ideal relationship between Teacher and Student. It also give guidance for solving difficult problems of life i.e.  Surrendering to God. Hanuman, Sugrive,and Vibhisan are the instances wherein they totally surrendered to Rama. It also shows that Ravan was illusion. Therefore he was  destroyed. Thus one can get lasting peace by getting rid of illusion.
                                      In concluding remarks Acharya said that  one should give importance to time and it should not be wasted. Besides that keep your mind pure and have positive attitudes,
